One could have thought it´s becoming quiet around Björn Mandry, but no way! Apart from working on a follow-up single for his side project Varoman, which he runs together with Frank Savaro aka Level K (remixer of Nalin & Kane “Beachball” and Despina Vandi “Gia”), he has been chosen as A&R-Manager for the uprising electro-house label Selected Works. For this he also teamed up with his Mauritius labelboss and Electribe homeboy Marc O´Tool, and released under The Spokes. A foundation that should later on result into a deeper cooperation, and so it came that the project Björn Mandry will originate from the O´Tool studio from now on. Resultig from the hitherto collaboration with Peter Jürgens, Björn can already look back on respectable prosperities. With his debut single “Timefactor” he did not just conquer the support of big names such as Sander Kleinenberg, Deep Dish, Nick Warren, Paul van Dyk and Seb Fontaine, but also made it onto one of Paul Oakenfold´s Perfecto compilations. Which presumably called Antoine Clamaran´s attention to him and might have disposed to take over his follow-up single “try again” for his compilation. While Criss Source´s “Hugs´n´kisses” still rages like an unstoppable tornado our there, Björn heralds the spring with lascivious 80ies influences and makes us look forward to uprising arms and euphoric open-airs.
