Florian Kruse Biographie

Florian Kruse’s sound can be best described as modern electronica, as he fuses downtempo dub-influenced grooves with more German minimal-sounding deep house grooves and tech-house, with clear references to the likes of Chateau Flight, Âme, Stefan Goldmann and Jazzanova, to name but a few.

Raised in Schleswig Holstein, North Germany, Florian has been involved in the music scene on many different levels, from club promotion to DJ-ing, and he’s an active DJ on the Hamburg underground scene, with his bookings getting better and better as his profile rises, and this year he has so far been going great.

Florian’s release on Om Records early this year, ‘Love Hurts’, remixed by Tommy FourSeven amongst others, created a lot of hype for him, and that was followed up with another deal with Om for 1 follow up single ‘In My Scope’.

Recently Nick Warren took an interest in Florian’s music, and included his Nils Nürnberg collaboration ‘An Why E’ on his “Global Underground- Lima” compilation, out on GU/Ministry Of Sound.

Florian has also signed a 2 A-Side tracks to Dieb Audio, ‘The Miracle’ remixed by Dave DK (also on Global Underground Nubreed) and ‘Thrill’, featuring Saara remixed by Vincenzo & Elmar Schubert.

Simultaneously he’s creating waves in his hometown of Hamburg, where the unofficial Kings of German Funky House Knee Deep, took a liking to one of his more electro-house inspired creations, “Para Llevar”, which has finally resulted in a whole EP for them, now called “Carrer De Sicilia EP”, including “Para Llevar", "Vale" & "Back In Time”.

With his release on cool UK label Urbantorque, “The High Tide Is In”, he’s set to turn a few heads, as this is not the average club fodder. “The High Tide Is In” is a somewhat Balearic old-school groove in it’s original form, absolutely guaranteed to reel in those who thought things were better before, but at the same time he’s added a whole new dimension to the track, with modern elements that will have any dancefloor on their toes waving.

In the first quarter of 2009 Mazi from Audio Soul Project took an interest on Florian’s music and signed him on his label Fresh Meat Recordings. There is coming „The Drive EP“ including 3 tracks and a cool remix by Nathan Drew Larsen soon.
Florian is also working for his own label "Save Room Recordings" with Nils Nürnberg as a perfect partner
