Jan Oostdyk Biographie

For some he’s a new talent, for others he’s an established name in the dance industry. Jan Oostdyk, born on January 12 1979, discovered his passion for music when he was seven years old. For almost seven years he has released several club hits under different aliases and cooperation’s. His latest production ‘Out of the Box’ is a solo project and has been released under his own name Jan Oostdyk, on the High Contrast Nu-Breed Label of Be Yourself Music.

Jan Oostdyk is a natural born talent. His dad bought him a piano at the age of 6. Already after one year he played the most difficult piano pieces of the biggest composers. With 12,5 years piano experience, Jan slightly discovered a love for electronic dance music. He got himself a computer with Fast Tracker software and a Roland Juno 106 synth, which he started to play around with. This was also the time he started to develop himself as a computer specialist. It showed that his knowledge for producing music was congenital and soon he earned his money as a specialist in sound studios and music computer systems. Nowadays Jan has build several music studios for big producer colleagues and having a big knowledge for every button, slider, computer, instrument, music program and plug-in. Most of all he’s a real perfectionist.

Next to building studios, this multi talented chameleon created a lot of club hits and not without success. For several years he produced under different aliases, started with Hard Style and nowadays his biggest love: Trance Music. Jacob van Hage “Quadraphonia remix”, 4Strings vs. Shaine “The Way It Should Be”, Georgia vs. Stimulator “We Rise” en Vimana “We Came 2008 Remix” are a couple of his (co)productions, which had massive support of big jocks like: Armin van Buuren, Ronald van Gelderen, Ferry Corsten, Sean Tyas and many more.

In 2006, people of the former Club Zillion asked him to produce a theme track for their beach parties. ‘Interfeeling’ was launched that same year and became a huge dance floor hit.

Next to his talent as a dj / producer, Jan Oostdyk also presents an outstanding radio show, which he broadcasts on his own website. The combination of his music choice, gives the maximal sensation what a radio show must contain. In his radio show he only plays the best music which dominates the dance scene at that moment.

His latest production ‘Out of the Box’ has been released in December on the High Contrast Nu-Breed Label of Be Yourself Music. This is the kick off of Jan’s solo career. ‘Out of the Box’ is a brilliant production with the distinctive Jan Oostdyk sound with catchy melodies and themes, harmonics and energetic rhythms and fills. The track already received support from Ronald van Gelderen, John O’Callaghan, DJ Choose, Dj Dean, Jon O’Bir, Kris Wilkinson, Mazza Martinelli, Stuart Millar and played on Slinky FM and Tiesto’s Clublife.
