Joachim Garraud

The year couldn't have started better for Joachim Garraud, as January saw him win Best French Producer & DJ 2008 from Only For DJs Magazine. But then, he isn't someone to do thing by half as his stage show demonstrates. Featuring the use of 80s keytars, Garraud had a spaceship built from scratch as part of the stage scenery. The mothership might have landed (again), but he soon realised the logistical nightmare. "It weighed nine tonnes so was pretty hard to move about on the tour!" You can probably blame another visit to Burning Man, part of a US tour in the middle of the year, for such mad aspirations.
