John Course

John Course has been a leading DJ and figure in Australian dance music for over 15 years. During the late 80's and early 90's, John was primarily associated with the Chevron nightclub where he was resident at successful nights like Sanction and Insanity. During this period he also won the Victorian DMC Mixing Competition twice and played at Chasers, one of Melbourne's first clubs to embrace the emerging house music sound with John being one the first local DJ's to champion its cause. Aside from DJing, John is one of the people behind the Vicious label, co- owned with DJ Andy Van and Colin Daniels. One of this country's leading dance labels, Vicious Vinyl's first release way back in 1990 was Groovematic's 'Witness The Strength' which was written and produced by John. His other productions...
