John O'Callaghan's rapid rise to fame upwards through the ranks of world's
DJ/producer elite has been nothing short of meteoric. He has stamped his
authority on the global Trance community over the past 18 months emerging
as one of the most prolific authorities in one of the most competitive
scenes in the industry. Having long since won favour with the scenes major
players through a catalogue of floor shaking releases & jaw dropping DJ
performances John emerges in 2007 as one of the Trance scenes elite & at
the forefront of a new generation of artists pushing the genre into new
dimensions.
After so many colossal releases and remixes for Discover (not to mention
the work for labels such as Vandit, Armada, Euphonic, Mondo, Galactive,
Midway, Gesture....) there is no arguing that John O'Callaghan is one of
the most in demand producers in the world right now.
Through his partnerships with John Askew, Neal Scarborough (as Inertia) and
Bryan Kearney he has flexed his production muscles on leading UK imprint
Discover - delivering monster remixes and enormous singles like "Exactly",
"The Chamber", "Restricted Motion" & "Game Over". Those together with his
killer solo singles on Discover Dark ("Vendetta" & "Stormy Clouds") have
firmly established Mr. O'Callaghan as one of the key forces in the trance
scene. John's DJ performances at the backend of 2006 saw him headline
events in Poland, Holland, Germany, Sweden & Cyprus between performances
with UK heavyweights Crasher, Escape & Inside Out where he recorded the
next installment of Discovers "Live As" compilation series scheduled for
full release at the end of March. His year was rounded up in style after 5
entries in the DJ Mag Top 100 cited him as their major tip for 2007 (more
than any other DJ in the poll) & a further 3 cited him as their favourite
producer of the year. As if this weren't enough John also climbed 115
places up the Trance Addict Top 250 to number 38 in the World!!!
2007 will undoubtedly be John's biggest year to date with booking enquires
coming from every country imaginable & a road blocked schedule taking him
into the summer. Throughout the spring John is firmly back on home soil
with bookings throughout some of the biggest nights the UK & Ireland have
to offer with The Gallery, Goodgreef, Heat, Peach all included & debuts for
Clinic & Resonance all in toe as part of his "Something to Live For" Album
Tour. Meanwhile the summer sees John pull out the clubcard & clock up the
airmiles again as his Album tour goes international with stop off dates in
Finland, Poland & Italy before full tours of South America Australia &
Poland which are scheduled for June & July.
