Marc O´Tool´s young Mauritius imprint is already known for always delivering fresh and up to date sounding progressive house music, strictly oriented to the dancefloor. Mauritius´ 7th release again perfectly states the labels ideal as it brings back the acid into the house and onto the floors! Lincoln is the labels newest project, and delivers two outstanding tracks which both live from those unique warm basslines and tweaking sounds which made us all loose control back in the days when we got into techno and house music. There hasn´t been a more highly acclaimed electronical instrument since its birth, and so from time to time our beloved TB 303 always finds its way back into the productions, disregarding any musical direction, as long as its for the clubs and as long as its electronical. “funky odd box” focusses on the more groovy and warm sounding side of acid house, a tweaking acidline slowly integrates into a house based track until it unnoticed sticks into our heads and let´s us go mad when leaving the break. on the flip “acid district” primary is based on a monotonous acidic bassline, and is more for the “four-to-the-floor” moments of the night! Isn´t it nice to have the acid back into the house? Now we just need to get back to the roots of the past, and just in case the good old times never come back, we gladly still have tracks like those, who give us back the feeling of those times...
