Mihai Popoviciu

Mihai Popoviciu, from Sibiu in Romania, is considered one of the most innovative eastern European producers of electronic music today. He was born in Romania in 1981 and was drawn to the fast-growing rave scene in the 1990s. At age 15 he was infected by the house and techno virus under the influence of the music broadcaster VIVA. His passion for electronic sound grew quickly, inspiring him to produce his own music. At the age of 19 he founded his own record label "Electro.Casnice" together with his friends The Model and Masstyk, and things progressed from there. In the summer of 2004, Mihai joined the International Deejay Gigolos headed by DJ Hell. His track "Sexy Spenders" made it onto the "International Deejay Gigolos Compilation 8".
