With their recent success on Bush Records, keenly supported by world renowned DJ Carl Cox, we're thrilled to have the opportunity to put out Nick Humphrey & Joe Brunnings new two track EP on Lifted Digital. Compound [adj. kom-pound, kom-pound; n. kom-pound; v. kuhm-pound, kom-pound] Definition: composed of two or more parts, elements, or ingredients. Appropriately named 'Compound', the first track captures its inspiration from various types of music, yet it is tightly knit into a single song, which, despite it's broad influences, simply works. Drawing inspiration from Blues, Latin and all round murkiness, the song is bound together into a pounding dancefloor destroyer with a relentless bassline, vocal hook and crunchy beats. Joe and Nick are 'Flying The Flag' for real funky Techno music with another dancefloor favourite, based heavily around Latin booty-shaking rhythms. Complete with a sexy piano and a grooving bassline, this track will have nightclub-goers in a hip-wiggling frenzy.
